Hong Kong Tsum Tsum Craze
I recently took a trip to Hong Kong. Initially I would get all excited at seeing anything Tsum Tsum related, until about the third day when I realized how common Tsum Tsum merchandises were and just how popular Tsum Tsum is in Hong Kong. Tsum Tsums are almost everywhere in Hong Kong, from random street markets, malls, and even on the t-shirts of the locals. I documented some of the Tsum Tsum merchandises I encountered on my trip to Hong Kong.
Tsum Tsum Stationery
Tsum Tsum Pillows
Chocoolate x Tsum Tsum
Chocoolate, a Hong Kong fashion brand, collaborated with Disney earlier this year to release some Tsum Tsum apparel. These are the few Tsum Tsum clothing leftover at the Chocoolate store.
Tomica x Tsum Tsum
Mini Tsum Tsum Vinyl Figures
These micro Tsum Tsum vinyl figures were available in a box set or a blind box. The blind box included one mystery expression Tsum Tsum figure.
Maxim’s x Tsum Tsum Desserts
In celebration of Mid Autumn Festival, Disney teamed up with Hong Kong’s largest food corporation, Maxim’s, to release some limited edition Tsum Tsum edibles including, cake, mousse, and mooncakes. The mooncakes sold out instantly, however I was able to snap some pictures of the various cakes and mousse served in a collectible Tsum Tsum cup.
Hong Kong Disney Store (at the Airport)
There are three Disney Stores in the Airport. Two of them are in unrestricted areas and closes 9PM. I was not able to check out those stores because I had a late arriving and departing flight. Fortunately, there is another Disney Store in the departure terminal that opens until 11PM.
The Hong Kong Disney Store had so many Tsum Tsums in stock! They also sold many different Tsum Tsum merchandises.
I went a little overboard and bought a ton of gifts for for friends, family, and myself.
Fake Tsum Tsums
There were many unlicensed shops that sold Tsum Tsum plushes and merchandises. There were even fake Minions “Tsum Tsum” plushes.
